Website hosting and analytics

This static site is hosted using Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Microsoft processes standard request, security and diagnostic information to deliver and protect it. Read Microsoft's privacy statement.

The site counts page views using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records the page address, the site that linked you to it, the country your network address is in, and your browser, operating system and device type, along with how quickly the page loaded. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Cloudflare states that the service does not collect or use visitors' personal data. Read Cloudflare's description of the service.

It gives us counts, not people. There is no visitor identifier, no profile and no advertising use, and it records country only — not your town or city. We use the figures to see which guidance is read and which is ignored, so we can improve it. We do not use them to work out which board or organisation a visitor belongs to. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we rely on the statistical-purposes exception, which is why you are not asked to accept anything — and which also requires us to give you a simple, free way to object.

Object to being counted

Cloudflare offers no opt-out of its own, so this site decides whether to load it at all. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, or you opt out below, the measurement script is never requested and nothing about your visit reaches Cloudflare.

To be exact about what that does and does not undo: it applies from the moment you opt out onwards. Pages you looked at before then were already counted, and we cannot retrieve those to remove them — they hold nothing that identifies you in any case. This page is never counted, so coming here to object is not itself recorded. The choice is stored only in this browser, so it will not follow you to another device, and clearing your browsing data will undo it.

Email

If you email us, we hold your message and address so we can reply and keep an appropriate record of the correspondence. Do not send another supplier's confidential proposal through this site.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell website visitor information. We share information only with service providers needed to host the site, measure aggregate readership or handle an enquiry, or where the law requires it.

Your rights

UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to use of your personal data. Email privacy@coolunlimited.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
